Five publishing houses owned by Muslim Brotherhood leaders have been confiscated by The committee tasked with managing Muslim Brotherhood funds, according to Aswat Masreya website .
The committee said in a statement , that The publishing houses are now under the management of the ministry of culture and are operating normally.
The confiscated publishing houses are Dar El-Fath Arabic Media, Arab Media Centre, Dar El-Fadila, Iqraa Publishing House and Hroof for Publishing and Distribution.
In September 2013 , An urgent matters court banned the Muslim Brotherhood and the committee was established to manage the group’s funds. The ruling also provided a banning on the activities of any association that is related to the Muslim Brotherhood, was founded by their funds or receives any support from the group.
The Muslim Brotherhood group is listed as a terrorist organization By Egyptian government in December 2013 and it insists that the group is behind the attacks that targeted security personnel since July 2013. The Muslim Brotherhood group continuously denies the accusations.
